Ilya has been a partner since the fall of 2005. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Linxlogic, a business software corporation in Los Angeles. Ilya formerly worked in the Energy Department of the London office of Louis Dreyfus in commodity trading and as a project manager at the Siberian Internet Company (Sibintek) at both their Novosibirsk and Moscow offices. Timothy has been a partner since late 2006. Formerly he headed the physicals trading division of Edward Boustead & Co., one of the oldest trading houses in the UK. He is a former member of the Bank of England Committee supervision committee. In 1991 Tim was invited to join the team of consultants engaged by the British Government to lend support and techniques to the economies in transition. Clients included the Anti-Monopoly Service, the Bank of Russia, MICEX and RTS, Moscow Oil Exchange, several depository companies, different committees in the Federal Duma, RAO UES, and numerous regional Governments. Most recently Tim has joined the board of a number of influential Russian investment funds but continues to work as advisor and consultant in countries such as Azerbaijan.Andrey Lisyanskiy

Andrey joined I2BF in 2005 as one of the managing partners and the fund's chief legal counsel, who directs all legal and transactional functions worldwide. Mr. Lisyanskiy also occupies various non-executive positions in Russian financial and industrial companies, including Corporate Finance Bank (member of Bank’s council). David joined I2BF in 2009 as Director of Investments. Most recently, Mr. Waserstein worked as an investment professional at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, one of the world’s largest renewable energy-focused private equity groups with $1.024bn AUM. Additionally, David is the founder of High Water Mark Advisors, LLC and Anvanta Systems. He has a track record of providing high-value management consulting with a focus in the areas of funding and strategic development. David holds an MBA from Columbia University, Graduate School of Business as well as a BA from Tufts University in Political Science.Nizar Hachem

Nizar Hachem has been a partner since 2009. He is the Founder of The Luxury Fund. Nizar is a member of the investment committee of TVM Capital Mena, a USD 150 million Healthcare and Life Science private equity fund. He is also the SEO of Al-Per Solutions, a Dubai International Financial Centre and Geneva based and DFSA regulated fund administration services company. He was partner at Injazat Capital heading the investment banking and business development as well as director of the Injazat Technology Fund (a USD 65 million private equity technology fund). He was the Head of Investment Banking and Project Finance at Banque Libano Francaise (affiliated to Credit Agricole). Nizar earned a Master of Science in Finance from ESCP-EAP in Paris, France, followed by an extensive program in Finance at HEC, also in Paris.
Alexey Belyakov

Alexey Belyakov joined I2BF Venture Capital in 2007 as head of research. Alexey has extensive experience in commercializing scientific research related to environmentally friendly projects. During his career he worked in a number of startups at positions ranging from junior researcher to business developer. Prior to joining I2BF Venture Capital Alexey worked for a company that specialized in strategic consulting of early-stage companies. Vladimir Spinko joined I2BF Venture Capital in 2007 as a technology analyst. Previously he worked as an image processing and computer vision researcher at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Alexander joined the I2BF team in October 2007. Prior to joining I2BF Venture Capital, Alexander worked as a bio physics researcher at various institutes of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. Marwa Gouda
Head of Investor Relations
Marwa Gouda joined I2BF in 2010 as Head of Investor Relations. Marwa previously worked at Man Group for six years holding different positions in investment marketing and client services, most recently as Marketing and Client Service Manager at Man Environmental Capital Opportunities, Man’s private equity environmental finance arm. She was also a researcher at the Centre for Security Studies and Conflict Research at the University of Zurich focusing on water distribution rights. Marwa holds a BA in Political Science and a BA in Economics from the American University in Cairo.
Irakli Menabde
Head of Equities
Previously, Irakli worked as a portfolio manager at Shell Asset Management Company, the asset management arm of Royal Dutch Shell plc, where he was responsible for creating, implementing and monitoring a diverse number of global quantitative and thematic investment strategies.
A Danish-Georgian, Irakli holds an MSc in Energy, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School, London, and another MSc in Finance & Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. Irakli is also a holder of BSc in International Economics and Business Administration (ASB in Denmark / HKUST in China) in addition to his studies of International Political Economy at LSE in London.
Natalia Ilioushina

Natasha has joined the I2BF team after working for over two years at Lehman Brothers (London) as a senior oil and gas trader, and five years at Deutsche Bank (New York – London) in the capacity of a fixed income trader. Natalia has a BSc and an MEng degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Nicolas Merzeau

Previously, Nicolas worked for two years as a portfolio manager at Shell Asset Management, asset management arm of Royal Dutch Shell plc, where he was responsible for creating, implementation and monitoring of diverse number of active, quantitative and thematic strategies.
A French-American, Nicolas holds a M.S in Aeronautics & Astronautics from Stanford University and is an Ecole Centralede Paris graduate. He also holds a BA in International Economics from Paris Dauphine and graduated the lyceum in France with Mention Tres bien, the highest award. He enjoys tennis, judo and running.
